Grand Bazaar

Grand Bazaar is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with more than 58 covered streets and over 4,000 shops which attract between 250,000 and half a million visitors daily. You can find anything here: from spices to carpets, from soaps to silver jewels and pottery all arranged on special corridors, grouped by type of goods.
There are special jewel areas, leather coats, sweets or home made soapsthat are amazing! A lot of foreigners to meet in all corners of this huge market, but don’t be affraid, the locals speak all languages and you just have to mention the name of your country and people will be glad to prove you their knowledge about where do you come from.
You can enter in a shop willing to buy tea, and if you don’t find the one that suits you either they will show you another shop (also his property:)) either you will leave but not empty handed: you will find out that even if you don’t need a new pair of shoes, hop, you already wear them. Today, the Grand Bazaar houses two mosques, two hamams, four fountains, and multiple restaurants and cafes.
