The Burning Man Festival

Some rules of the festival: “The Burning Man festival is not a curated, normal festival in the sense that you go and watch acts as a passive audience member—it is a participants-driven festival in which everybody plays a part, whether by creating an art installation, riding around in a mutant vehicle, performing, creating a themed campsite with a visual presence, or just by interacting in a way that contributes to the spirit of Burning Man. There is no “main stage”, no advertising, no money exchanges for products beyond the bare essentials such as ice, drinks, fuel, and sanitation needs, and all participants are expected to practice radical self-reliance in being fully prepared to cover all their needs during the week-long camp in the desert of Black Rock.
