Topkapi palace was the official and primary residence in the city of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately 400 years. The palace is crowded with large collections of shields, weapons, costumes, armors and ceramic. Being an architectural treasure in itself with nicely decorated murals, the museum also contents calligraphic manuscripts and jewelry. The museums has hundred of rooms and the major interesting points are the Prophet Muhammad’s cloak and sword, the harems and the treasury.
