Art Works Inspired by Nike Flyknit and Lunarlon

Nike came up with a very interesting idea to promote 2 of the most well known technologies used to produce sneakers: Nike Flyknit and Lunarlon. This week, art works inspired by Nike Flyknit and Lunarlon technologies have been hidden throughout Tokyo, and if you’re in the area you can go out and search for them. The Nike Innovation Hunt event is part of Nike Japan’s interactive Nike+ event space in Harajuku and it features unique prizes inspired by Nike’s original Flyknit Trainer and Lunarlon technologies. The art works idea was to create objects realized entirely with the materials used to produce Nike Flyknit and Lunarlon technologies. For example we all know Lunarlon has been injected into many Nike Skateboarding designs in order to find the best balance of cushioning and board feel, but what happens if somebody tries to make an entire deck out of Lunar foam? The cute and inspiring objects resulted from this approach are inspiring and really catchy. Some of the items include a Flyknit BE@RBRICK, Lunarlon skateboard and a Flyknit covered fixed wheel bicycle all sporting the striking Volt colors! The colors are vivid and bright, and the combination between black and neon yellow cannot pass unnoticed. If we managed to catch your interest, you can check out the event’s official page to get more information about the Threshures Hunt, the hidden objects, and some clues about how to fiind them.
