Piia Põdersalu is an illustrator, print and pattern designer, but her fashion illustrations got my attention. Piia is originally from Estonia, currently residing in Israel. She is working as a freelancer across a multitude of mediums and materials, from watercolor to a digital computer art, combining together traditional craft techniques, and she creates contemporary designs and illustrations. She has a strong attention to detail, pattern and color combination, often combining in her creations elements of nature and textures. Fashion illustrations are always amazing ways to show creativity and skills. Her work is very graphic and creative. She uses fashion as an inspiration for her work, bringing a new and interesting technique to the fashion illustration world. She is creative and uses a lot of textures and patterns in her work as a fashion illustrator. I love the way lines disappear in the contrast between white and color, so that you can only guess the image represented. Details catch your attention giving a different look to the entire image. Fashion is a great source of inspiration for all the artists, and I am grateful for every occasion to see a new twist on fashion illustrations. I love her art because it combines fashion, illustrations and print, using a large range of techniques that surprisingly fit together in order to materialize her unique vision. Her work is both inspiring and creative, so check out Piia Põdersalu’s Etsy store and her site for more interesting fashion illustrations.
