Summary:

The Burning man Festival is one of the most important art and self-expression festivals of the world. The event is held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. The 2012 Burning Man Festival is held between August 27 and September 3. The amazing event is described by most participants as an experiment in community, art, installation and self-expression.

The Burning Man Festival is entirely created by it’s participants and it is interactive and creative, so it is not a conventional festival. Black Rock City is the name of the temporary city created by the festivals participants. The „city” includes theme camps, villages, art installations and individual camping that are all created by the participants. One of the most important aspects of this festival is that after a week, the amazing and creative artsy-city disappears, leaving no traces what so ever, taking care of the environmentthis way. The theme of the 2012 Burning Man Festival is Fertility 2.0, symbolizing the Black Rock City community’s ability to grow, develop and spread across the world. Culture has the power to create and recreate itself, and It thrives as a result of human interactions. This year’s art theme contemplates the tendency of any living system to create life. Check out the Burning Man official site for more information about the project, the program and this years theme here.
